Our Beans

The association Artesanal Mandusol appreciates the work of the farmers in the fields and cares about the marketing by searching marektplaces for them. 

Because of the fact that it is an often cultivated vegetables in the zone the farmers united and founded the directorate of the beanfarmers

(la directiva de agricultores de fréjol).

The directorate meets annually for reviewing and coordinating the coming year and the coming crop of the three types of beans.

In the house of the agriculturalists (la casa del agricultor) are stored the three types of beans after the crop, which in the next step will be sort out by women and men in the corporation and wraped for the selling. Our product is available on the international market and is also selled on the market of Fairtrade products.

All our beans are available in different packing sizes: bulk in 50 kilo bags, packed in 500 gram sizes and in 1 kilo packets. We offer to shrink-wrap them, for safer transportation and for conservating the quality.

Ideal for the sale in stores and supermarkets.

Happy Bean (Fréjol Alegre)

unique breed, cultivated in the subtropical zone in the north of ecuador, dedicated Vigna Umbellata (rice bean) of the families of the vegetables.

A rather little bean type , fast boiled, with high calcium and roughage percentage

Naturally multi-colored (red, yellow, coffee) and with a high resistance a plagues and illnesses.

Available the whole year, en quality step A+, A and B.

Black Bean

Type Phaseolus Vulgaris L. (common bean)

The black bean is part of the traditional cuisine of Latin America.

Available the whole year, en quality step A+, A and B.

 

Fréjol Bayo

Type Phaseolus Vulgaris sp. (haricot bean)

in medium size, similar to the black bean, 

creamly colored hull, is noted for his high share in proteins, more as 25 %

 

Available from september to january, en quality step A+ and A.
