by car:
From Quito always follow the road in direction of Calacalí - called La Independencia, at the height of Nanegalito taking the exit on the right hand side in the direction of La Armenia, across the asphalt road until you reach the rectory Gualea Cruz, some minutes after passing the rectory you will find a sign with '17km, continue by taking the exit on the right hand side. After crossing the river Guayllabamba you will find the commune El Chontal, 5 minutes more on the main road and you reach San José de Magdalena.
Coming from Imbabura, Otavalo, follow the road Selva Alegre until you reach the commune San José de Magdalena, by passing Apuela and El Chontal.

The bus from Quito starts at the terminal La Ofelia with the destination Magdalena bajo, the name of the bus company is "Minas" and this is the shedule: 06h00, 10h00, 12h45, 15h30 y 18h00.
From Otavalo you can reach us with the bus company "Otavalo" or "Imbaburapak" with the destino Intag or Cielo Verde. The timetable is:
